The Robertshaw 5300 Series Electric Thermostat is a snap-acting, single pole single throw (SPST) type thermostat. Most thermostats use silver contacts and have heavy-duty terminals for durability and sustained accuracy. The snapaction mechanism is precise and reliable. This direct acting series of thermostats is suitable for the commercial cooking industry.

The 5300-700 Series controls were specifically designed for pilot-duty (low voltage) applications. They are unique in that they utilize special cross-wire contacts. These contacts form a plus (+) sign configuration when they are made. Contacts are rated for 50 VA PD. These pilot-duty controls are designed to replace the extensive number of pilot-duty models used on commercial equipment. The 5300-700 Series pilot-duty Uni-Kits have have a mechanical positive off in the dial off position.
